Fractional head of marketing operations.
Senior marketing ops leadership without the full-time hire. I find what’s leaking pipeline, fix the systems underneath and leave your team with a stack that runs without me.
Taking on a small number of clients
- 10+ yearsB2B SaaS and eCommerce
- 12companies advised
- ~150workflows deployed
- 3 to 4xSQL conversion lift for several clients
Your marketing ops team is stuck working the queue.
Smart people spend the week on tickets, list pulls and one-off fixes instead of building the systems that create pipeline. Most teams don’t need more tools. They need someone senior to own how the tools, data and handoffs work together.
- Leads sit for days before anyone in sales touches them.
- Marketing, sales and finance each bring a different pipeline number.
- Attribution is a guess, so budget decisions are too.
- The CRM is full of duplicates, blank fields and records nobody trusts.
- The stack grew one tool at a time and nobody owns how it fits together.
- AI pilots look good in a demo and never make it to production.
- Your marketing ops leader left and the roadmap left with them.
- You have smart ops people but no one setting direction for them.
What I own
Not an agency. Not a slide deck. I build in your tools and own the result.
The four things I’m most often hired to fix. Each one is strategy and hands-on building.
Pipeline you can trust
Lifecycle stages sales actually agrees with, and leads that reach the right rep fast.
- MQL and PQL scoring, including product signals
- Routing rules, enrichment at handoff and speed-to-lead SLAs
- Funnel definitions shared with sales and RevOps
Attribution and reporting
One set of numbers marketing, sales and finance all believe.
- Full-funnel attribution built on clean campaign data
- Campaign taxonomy and UTM governance
- Pipeline and budget reporting ready for the CRO and board
A stack that works together
A CRM and marketing automation platform you can build on, with fewer tools doing more.
- HubSpot and Salesforce mapping and sync integrity
- Hygiene, dedupe, consent and email deliverability
- Tool audits, consolidation and renewals
AI and agents in production
Agents doing real work in your GTM workflows, with a person checking the output.
- Research, enrichment and list-building agents
- Human review gates and versioned prompts
- Team enablement so adoption sticks
How it works
A monthly retainer with a set amount of time each week. I join your team’s cadence, own the marketing ops roadmap and report on it like any other leader.
Diagnose
Audit the stack, data and funnel. You get a ranked list of the most expensive problems and what fixing each is worth.
TogetherFix
Ship the highest-impact fixes first, usually routing, definitions and data, so results show up early.
Owned by meRun
Own the roadmap, the reporting and the partnership with sales and RevOps. Lead and develop your ops people.
Owned by me, with your teamHand off
Document everything. When you’re ready for a full-time leader, I help you hire and hand it over.

Fractional, full-time or agency?
Fractional fits best when you need senior ownership now, but not a full-time seat yet.

Questions
What is a fractional head of marketing operations?
A senior marketing operations leader who works with your company part time on a retainer. You get the strategy, ownership and hands-on building of a full-time head of marketing ops without the full-time cost or a long hiring process.
How is this different from hiring an agency or a consultant?
An agency or consultant usually delivers a scoped project and leaves. I own the function: the roadmap, the numbers, the stack and the relationship with sales and RevOps, and I stay accountable month to month.
Do you just advise, or do you build?
I build. Strategy matters, but the work is the scoring model, the routing rules, the sync and the agents, and I build them myself in your tools.
Who owns what you build?
You do. Everything lives in your tools and is documented. If we stop working together, nothing breaks.
Will you replace our tools?
Only if one is costing you more than it’s worth. Most of the time the tools are fine and the setup between them is the problem.
How much time do you spend with each client?
Each engagement is a set amount of time each week, agreed up front and sized to what the business needs. I keep a small number of clients so each one gets real attention.
Which tools do you work in?
Mostly HubSpot and Salesforce, plus Marketo, Clay, 6sense, ZoomInfo, Amplitude, BigQuery, Snowflake and agent tools like HubSpot Breeze, n8n and Claude. I work in your stack rather than replacing it by default.
Can you help us hire a full-time marketing ops leader?
Yes. Many teams use a fractional leader to get the foundation right first, then hire. I can write the role, interview candidates and hand the function over with documentation.
Do you work remotely?
Yes. I work remotely with teams across US time zones.
Let’s fix what’s underneath.
Tell me what’s breaking: your stack, your team and the number you’re trying to move. I’ll tell you honestly whether fractional is the right fit.
